The Civil Dead crosses post-rock, folk, doom, and ambient drone. Themes of isolation, loss, and American colonization/settlement are pervasive, as are influences such as Earth, Nadja, Leonard Cohen, & Nick Cave. Debut album “Bird Bones” was released early in the Summer of 2012.
